Homeworking Wednesday 6th - Friday 8th

 Year 2 Home Learning

Bore Da!

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and Father Christmas brought you some fantastic presents, I bet he did

Miss Hunt and I are missing you all and hoping that you and your family are healthy, safe and well. Fingers crossed we can all be together again soon.

In the learning grid there are two activities for each day for you to complete. Try your best to work out the answers independently, sounding out tricky words and practising your capital letters and full stops. When you complete online work I will be able to see it, and mark , so do try and make sure it is your own work and that you try your best. If you do work on paper please upload a picture via HWB – Just to easy – Upload and again, I can see what you have been doing. I can’t wait to see all your hard work.

If you have any problems accessing HWB or MyMaths you can email

Maesycoedprimaryschool@gmail.com

Or You can email Mrs Davies-Cox at

Daviesh172@hwbcymru.net

You can access a daily reading book at www.oxfordowl.co.uk Let me know which books you are enjoying. These books are free!

Don’t forget you can also practise counting in 2s, 5s, 10s each day! If you want to stay super fit and healthy Jo Wicks is on www.youtube.co.uk leading class workouts and Online Cosmic Yoga is a great way to develop flexibility and strong muscles!

Next week your homework will be set via HWB-Just2Easy-J2Homework where again I will be able to see how you are getting on each day.

Work hard and keep smiling.

Best wishes

Mrs Davies-Cox and Miss Hunt

Diwrnod Shwmae!

Year 2 have thoroughly enjoyed Diwrnod Shwmae!

We had a huge range of Welsh activities taking place in the classroom. We learnt Welsh folk music dances, played and sang Welsh music, learnt the name for farm animals, found Wales on a globe and read Welsh stories to our Barnaby teddy. We also ordered the Welsh days of the week, asked one another Welsh questions and made Welsh flags. What a busy day!!!

Mrs Davies-Cox’s class have really settled into life in Year 2. They have had a great week creating their own illustrations using watercolour paints, writing about the life of Roald Dahl and furthering their learning about space. They made their own star constellations using marshmallows and wooden sticks which they all thoroughly enjoyed. Then to top off a busy week, they created characters for their new small world fairy and elf house. Well done everyone!
